Marshall is a film that has been heavily publicized in the last few days. The medical suspense thriller has hit the screens today and let's see how it is.
story :
Shivaji (Srikanth) is a film star who has a maniac. One of the fans is Abhi (Abhay) and his only dream is to take a selfie with Shivaji but this does not happen. As time passes, Abhi realizes that Shivaji is not what everyone thinks of him and has a bad side. Upset by this, he decided to reveal Shivaji's real side to the world. In the process, what Abhi did and Megha played the role of Megha Chaudhary in this set.
Plus points:
The film is a medical suspense thriller and has a good concept. Srikanth is at the top in his role as a star and there is a nice change in his character, which has different colors. He uses all his experience and brings great depth to the film. The mother's emotion shown in the film is good and the message shown at the end is convincing.
The scenes of confrontation between Srikanth and Abhay are well designed and the actors perform their best in these scenes. Hero Abhay does an impressive job in his role. He was successful in confronting a well-known actor like Srikanth in many scenes. His performance in the climax was very good.
The visuals showcasing the medical system are well written. Heroine Megha Chaudhary looks glamorous and has played her part well. The interval twist in the film is well brought out and so was the climax which looked good.
Minus Points:
The first half is narrated at a slower pace and the screenplay also becomes sluggish during this. Although scenes about the medical field are well written, they are not effective in some scenes. The film has a compelling comedy that could have been completely avoided.
The film has the feel of a roller coaster. A good scene is interrupted by a forced situation and bypasses the film. After the point, there are a lot of scenes that look forced and make the proceedings dull. There was good scope for elevating emotional content but the makers did not use it.
technical aspects :
The re-recording by KGF Fame Ravi Basuri is quite good in the film. Editing is fine because at least five minutes could be cut in the first half. Even though the film is made on a limited budget, the production values look rich and are supported by decent camerawork. Yadagiri's music is decent but his BGM was better.
Coming to director Jayaraj Singh, he chose an interesting concept and narrated the film well for the most part. But he goes a little far and adds forced comedy and unnecessary scenes that dilute a film a little. If his statement was on point, the film's output would have been even better.
Decision:
Overall, Marshall is a medical suspense thriller that has a good foundation. The plot sounds novel and the narration is also decent for the most part. Srikanth goes from the front and handles the plot well. But all this is spoiled by forced comedy and unnecessary scenes that come at regular intervals and watch the film rigorously this weekend.
